Plants and Bugs by Jamison, Grade 2, New Hampshire, USA
I like plants because they grow. Roots get food by the soil. Sunlight shines on the leaves because they like food. They stretch to get the sunshine. The water helps. Bugs fly on the plants because they are mean. They chew holes on the leaves. All the leaves look like swiss cheese!
My Favorite Snack by Kyle, New Hampshire, USA My most favorite snack is cookies. I love chocolate chip chunk, and Oreos. When I look at cookies they make me day dream of which one to eat first. My second favorite snack is Fruit Loops. I really like the fruity flavors. My least favorite snack is granola bars. Special K's strawberry are my most favorite granola bar. Turnips are not my favorite snack at school. I would be mad if my teacher gave me turnips.
How Sad and Happy Became Friends by Brian, Grade 2, New Hampshire, USA
One day I was walking along and I bumped into Happy. Sad started to cry and Happy said, "Oh I'm sorry, please don't cry." Then Sad and Happy became best friends. The End
The Red Balloon by Adele, Grade 2, New Hampshire, USA
One day a girl had a red balloon. She was blowing the balloon up for a friend's party. She blew and blew and blew and blew and blew and blew. The balloon went "POP"! The girl was sad. She went to get another red balloon. She blew the balloon only once and she went to the party and gave it to her friend. Her friend was happy!
